3 Reasons to Stay follows Tara as she navigates the rough waters following her divorce. Tara is the mother of two kids who has sworn off of love. She tries and fails to ignore the growing spark between the gorgeous and very much off-limits Danny due to his wanderlust tendencies. Forced together repeatedly due to circumstance and meddling loved ones, the spark becomes a roaring fire.

Tara is a single mom who is struggling to heal after a divorce. She works full-time and has her hands full taking care of her two young kids with little help from their father and her now ex. Her ex has moved on to another woman who Tara has had the misfortune of running into not once, but twice, and soon to be three times in the small town of Boundary. Sworn off of love, Tara is continually thrust into Danny’s presence and as much as she’d like to deny it, she can’t help but feel the connection growing between them.

Danny doesn’t stay in one place for long. He’s a photographer who is always on the move. While in Boundary, a certain strawberry blonde woman catches his eye. He asked her out and she declined. Yet, he can’t seem to get the strong and stubborn Tara off of his mind. Although he appreciates the efforts of his meddling family to push him and Tara together, he knows that he needs to win her over without the interference of others. Can he convince Tara to give love a second chance, and most importantly, to trust him with her heart and her kids?

I’m going to be perfectly honest. When I wrote Hometown Heartstrings, I did have the idea of creating a series in mind. Did I actually think it would happen? Absolutely not. The more I wrote though, the more potential I saw. While this book picks up on the tails of MacKenzie’s happy ending, it can also be read as a standalone.
